Steven Davidoff, MD, FCCP

Steven Davidoff, MD, FCCP, CPE, is a board-certified pulmonary and critical care specialist at Southwest Pulmonary Associates in Plano, Texas. With nearly 20 years of experience in hospital and outpatient settings, he is known for his clinical expertise, collaborative leadership, and commitment to advancing healthcare delivery across North Texas.

Dr. Davidoff currently serves as Medical Director of the Intensivist Program at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano, Chief Medical Officer at LifeCare Hospital of Plano, and Executive Partner at Southwest Pulmonary Associates. He combines a passion for acute, life-saving care with a dedication to long-term patient relationships and system-wide quality improvement.

He earned his B.A. from Brandeis University and his M.D. from Tulane University School of Medicine, where he also completed his internal medicine residency. He completed his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Davidoff is a Certified Physician Executive (2019) and earned an M.S. in Healthcare Leadership from the University of Texas at Dallas (2023).

Board-certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Internal Medicine, Dr. Davidoff has held leadership roles at Texas Health Plano since 2013, including Chair of the Department of Medicine and President of the Medical Staff. He currently serves on the Medical Executive Board and contributes to the Physician Leadership and Policy Councils, shaping clinical policy across 17 hospitals in the Texas Health Resources system.

He is a six-time D Magazine “Best Doctors” honoree and a repeat Best Doctors designee (2023, 2024), respected by peers and patients alike.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Davidoff is an avid endurance athlete, Ironman finisher, and father of three. He enjoys skiing, hiking, and views medicine as both a calling and a long-term partnership with his patients.
