Brad Raper, MD, is a board-certified pulmonologist, critical care specialist, and sleep medicine physician dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in Dallas, Texas. Since joining Southwest Pulmonary Associates in 2016, Dr. Raper has focused on diagnosing and treating a wide range of pulmonary conditions, sleep disorders, and critical illnesses with a compassionate and evidence-based approach.
A native of Arkansas, Dr. Raper discovered his passion for medicine and the outdoors at a young age. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences before relocating to Dallas to complete his internal medicine residency through the Methodist Hospitals–Dallas program. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at LSU University School of Medicine Hospital in New Orleans. He completed a sleep fellowship at Tulane University Hospital.
Dr. Raper is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. His clinical interests include managing chronic respiratory illnesses such as COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, and obstructive sleep apnea. He is known for his attentive, thorough care and his commitment to helping patients improve their quality of life through personalized treatment plans.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Raper enjoys spending time with his family and biking, hiking, camping, and traveling. Dr. Raper is proud to serve the Dallas community and values the long-term relationships he builds with his patients.
